The Cushioned Sandals with 2 Buckles combine the stability of a toe-strap sandal with the anatomical comfort of Alicouro’s cushioned line. The lower strap passes between the first and second toe, creating an anchor point that keeps the sandals fixed to the foot during movement — without the muscular effort that completely open models require. The upper strap crosses the instep with an adjustable buckle, allowing you to fine-tune the fit precisely.
These are the most stable model in the cushioned line and the most suitable for active use — long walks, markets, trips — where open sandals tend to slip.
Cushioned natural cork insole
The insole combines natural cork with high-density foam. The cork gradually molds to the shape of your foot over the first few weeks — it’s normal to feel some initial firmness which diminishes with regular use. The anatomical support that develops over time is the main differentiator from synthetic alternatives.
Smooth vegetable-tanned leather
Both versions, White and Brown, are made from smooth genuine vegetable-tanned leather. It is a moisture-resistant material that is easy to clean and develops a natural patina with use that improves its appearance over time.
A note on sizing
Due to the anatomical design of the insole, the feet must sit completely within the footbed edges. We recommend sizing up from your usual size. The toe strap is adjustable but has a limited range — if unsure, consult our Size Guide before ordering. We offer free exchanges within 30 days for mainland Portugal.
Smooth leather care
- Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth after each use
- Apply our Alicouro Leather Conditioner every 3 to 4 weeks to nourish and maintain flexibility
- White version: use only colorless products — remove stains immediately with a damp cloth before they dry. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, which can yellow white leather
- Store in a dry, ventilated place
